Digging Your Way to China

One of our guides told us that when he was a kid, he'd go out in the family garden and dig big holes. His mother told him to cut it out, or he'd dig his way to America. If you look at a globe, you will see that China and the U.S. are almost directly opposite through the center of the earth. The Chinese word for America means "beautiful country" (like a country you'd see in a dream).
